Technical Sales Representative – Geomatics & Construction Technology
Our company is an established supplier of measurement solutions to the Western Canada Geomatics, Exploration, Engineering and Construction market. We provide high quality measurement solutions and machine automation to civil/construction and Surveying firms to improve productivity, efficiency and margins.

We are seeking a driven, entrepreneurial, and tech-savvy Technical Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about Geomatics, Construction Technology, and building lasting client relationships. If you're comfortable on construction sites, understand positioning technologies like total stations, GNSS, lasers, and locators—and enjoy translating technical features into business value—this is the opportunity for you.
We are seeking an honest, self-motivated individual with a strong desire to learn, adapt, and grow. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, combined with hands-on experience in Geomatics and/or Construction Surveying.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while supporting an established client base.
- Promote and sell vertical construction positioning and surveying products.
- Manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting to closing—while maintaining profitability.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed regional growth targets.
- Provide product demonstrations and explain how solutions impact accuracy, efficiency, and margins.
- Collaborate closely with our technical support team to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain regular reporting on sales pipeline, forecasts, and market insights.
- Deliver responsive, detail-oriented service to build long-term client relationships.
- Balance strategic planning with day-to-day prospecting in a fast-paced environment.
- Consistently exceed expectations and deliver on commitments.
Key Qualifications:
- Solid understanding or hands-on experience with Geomatics, Construction Surveying, or Civil Engineering.
- Working knowledge of surveying and positioning equipment, including GNSS, total stations, and underground locators.
- Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the region.
Preferred Experience:
- Diploma in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or 3+ years of equivalent industry experience.
- Experience working on or around construction sites.
- Familiarity with Ground Penetrating Radar and underground detection tools.
