St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital (STEGH), a leading fully accredited 179-bed facility renowned for its comprehensive medical services and state-of-the-art facilities, invites applications for a full-time position in our Department of Paediatrics.
About Us:
The Department of Paediatrics is a dedicated group of Community Consultant Paediatricians supporting our local secondary level hospital. We oversee a six-bed Paediatric ward, a 4-bed level 2a NICU for newborns, managing over 800 births annually. Collaborating closely with our strong Emergency Department, we provide essential coverage for Labour & Delivery and Emergency services. On-call rotation is one in five, one week at a time, allowing for a balanced professional lifestyle.
Requirements:
Candidates must hold an MD or equivalent and be eligible for licensure in the Province of Ontario, with certification in Paediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or equivalent. We seek individuals with a demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-based environment and a commitment to advancing the Paediatric Program at STEGH. The ideal candidate will contribute to continuous learning and clinical innovation, fostering educational opportunities for medical students, residents, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistant Students.
