Seasonal Grounds-person

About this role:
Our gardens are located in London, ON is currently recruiting for a full-time Seasonal Grounds-person.
Our gardens currently have 65 developed acres and is presently performing 500 interments annually.
The successful candidate for this position strives to keep pace with the ever-changing service demands and is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of our customers in a sensitive and professional manner.
This position is based on a 40-hour work week and may change as required for the needs of the business including working overtime as required.
Job Type: Temporary, Contract (4-7 Months)
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent preferred
- A valid driver’s license
- Enthusiasm for working outdoors.
- Heavy equipment operator’s training or certification would be an asset.
- Can comfortably do repetitive tasks such as trimming, grass cutting, weed pulling.
- A team player, with the ability to multitask and set priorities.
- Previous landscaping, horticultural and/or cemetery experience.
- Ability to lift and carry 50lbs.

Responsibilities:
- All aspects of cemetery care, including: customer service, memorial and monument installations, equipment maintenance and grounds maintenance.
