We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber specializing in new construction, to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience installing and maintaining plumbing in residential and eventually light commercial new construction projects. This role demands a professional who demonstrates superior technical knowledge, adheres to safety standards, and collaborates effectively with project managers, contractors, additional trades and office personnel to ensure timely and seamless project completion.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret and analyze blueprints and technical drawings to determine plumbing requirements for new construction projects.
  • Install, assemble, and maintain plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, sanitary, and gas systems in compliance with building codes.
  • Collaborate with construction teams, project managers, and other trades to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to ensure plumbing systems function correctly and meet safety standards.
  • Identify and resolve plumbing issues promptly to avoid project delays and ensure quality workmanship.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used, work performed, and time spent on each job site.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.

 

Requirements

  • Red Seal Plumbing certification.
  • 3+ years of experience installing plumbing in new construction environments
  • Strong understanding the proper use of material inventory, to manage job costing.
  • Strong knowledge of local plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity required for hands-on plumbing work in various construction settings.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Capability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines.
